Flicka and the Toronto Blue Jays

Last night, Flicka attended her second Toronto Blue Jays baseball game at the Rogers Centre.

There were a lot of things happening last night before the game:

A special thank you to Jessica for arranging for Flicka’s seats at the game.  Unfortunately, the home team lost in the last inning.

The starting pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays was former Cy Young Award Winner (2012 – New York Mets) R.A. Dickey.  As of the 2012 Major League Baseball (MLB) season, Dickey is the only active player in MLB who uses the knuckleball as his primary pitch. In 2012, Dickey was selected to his first career All-Star Game, won the Sporting News Pitcher of the Year Award and became the first knuckleball pitcher to win the Cy Young Award.

According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R.A._Dickey#Personal_life),
“His autobiography, Wherever I Wind Up: My Quest for Truth, Authenticity and the Perfect Knuckleball, written along with New York Daily News reporter Wayne Coffey, was released in 2012.  In the book, Dickey reports suffering sexual abuse as an 8-year-old child by a 13-year-old female babysitter, and later by a teenage male, and discusses his struggles with suicidal thoughts as an adult.

R.A. Dickey pitched a good game on Friday night.
